Share your SNAF Experience

Hello everybody, I can’t load ASA 5505 image from tftp server. Could u anybody help me.

By the grace of Allah yesterday I passed SNAF paper with 932/1000 marks. All question from pass4sure.

after passing the ccna security this will be the next for me. problem is that i dont have an ASA equipment for lab practice. i am hoping that somebody can teach us here how to configure gns3 with ASA.

I was able to configure GNS3 to run ASA w/ ASDM

@anonymous, can you ping the tftp server from the asa?

I have done the CCNA only.

I was wondering If I can do the SNAF exam without the CCNA Security… is it possible ?

you need to CCNA Security before you can take the SNAF.

This week i got SNAF with 887 points.
The exam has 64 questions, 120 min time and a minimum of 797 points. There was no lab simulation but 2 simlets with 5 and 6 questions. The other questions where mcq.

I study with:
- original Cisco docs
- CBT Nuggets
- ASA 5505
- P4S an ActualTest 1.6

For the simlets you have to learn and understand ASDM 6.x. Have a deeper look to Access Rules, NAT Rules, Service Policy Rules, Static Routes and Network Objects/Groups under Configuration button. The simlet questions and answers in P4S and AT are not identical to the questions and answers in exam!

The multiple choice questions in P4S and AT are 100% true, the answers are about 98% true. Be aware, most of the questions in P4S and AT have only 4 choices for the right answer, in exam you have 5 to 7 choices for about 60% of the answer. So you have to learn the answers not the position.

Can we make CCNP Security? Cisco made changes on the CCSP.

One question here, if i pass SNAF and SNAA, will it credit as FIREWALL 1.0? or just ASA Specialist?

What to watchout for in the exam
- Multiple choices run into the 6 to 8 choices. Also read from the Question how many choices you got to select.
- Atrocious Cisco english that has sentences that sound so similar. I thought I had a decent grasp of the Queens English but Cisco has got me cowering in fear
- Get an absolute grip on NAT, ACLs, MPF.

some people tell us about the Actual Test, that it is pretty much as the exam … and they also tell us that they use also the Pass4Sure Lab for their exam,

Is the Actual Test is enough for the real exam or the Pass4sure is also needed to pass the exam ??

Cleared my 642-524 4 hours ago.

Exam is difficult because multiple choices contains 6 to 8 choices.

You need to get familiar with NAT and ACL.

In AT I have a bad time to see ASDM screenshots, the resolution of the picture is bad. Anyone have a version that is better?

Just bought certifyme dumps. there are 62questions listed. is this version correct?

Unless you plan on finishing the CCSP by end of march stop now…cause the test are coming to end of life…start studying for the np securtiy tests cause they will give you credit towards the CCSP but the CCSP tests will not give credit to the np security

Hix, I read Cisco Certification Tool again today and have found that SNAF is not equall to FIREWALL at all. So, I will change to FIREWALL cources

So, I will try as quick as posible
I have just passed SNAF 1000/1000. All dump a still valid but please read the choices carefully because some of them may be have alittle differences
Next stop is SNAA at the end of this week.

Hi everyone.

I could run asa + asdm but every time I run the gns3, the flash of the asa firewall is 0 byte free. Therefore, I have to do every step all over again for ASDM.

1) How can I get over this ASDM problem?
2) How do you set up your topology and save your configurations?
